About
Xinxiang University (新乡学院, website) is a public full-time undergraduate college. Its history can be traced back to Taihang Public Xinxiang Normal School, established in 1949. It is a school with a red revolutionary gene and a gene of reform and opening up. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2007, the former Xinxiang Teachers College, Pingyuan University, and Xinxiang City College of Education were merged and upgraded to undergraduate colleges. In 2014, they passed the Ministry of Education ’s undergraduate teaching qualification assessment.
Xinxiang University has an elegant environment. The campus covers an area of 2130 acres, and the campus covers an area of nearly 750,000 square meters. The campus has four seasons of evergreen, three seasons of floral fragrance, people and nature, variation and melody. The school has excellent conditions for running schools, with modern teaching buildings, experimental buildings, library audio-visual buildings, student apartments and standardized sports venues. The total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is about 420 million yuan.
The library has 1.68 million printed books, 1.11 million electronic books, more than 1,520 Chinese and foreign newspapers, and 50 types of databases. It has an advanced and complete computer network service system.Xinxiang University currently has 60 undergraduate majors and 29 junior college majors, covering 11 disciplines including engineering, science, management, economics, education, literature, law, art, history, agriculture, and medicine. It is highly in line with the needs of local industries and enterprises. There are more than 25,000 full-time college students and more than 10,000 adult students.The school currently has 13 provincial professional comprehensive reform pilot programs, 12 provincial and school-level key disciplines, 1 academician workstation, 24 provincial and municipal key laboratories and engineering technology research centers, and 1 city-level collaborative innovation and entrepreneurship Center, 1 provincial-level outstanding innovative technology team, 1 provincial-level university technological innovation team, 13 university-level technological innovation team.
